He was a member of Demolay as a teenager, as were many young men. But Demolay does not require any degree ritual work and it is not the same as being a Freemason, it's merely sponsored by them. I do present this in the book. The man behind the hermetic magick at Disneyland was the engineer, C V Wood -- and I know you'll enjoy reading about him. I'm just surprised nobody mentioned the fact that Walt Disney was a 33 degree Scottish Rite Freemason! That doesn't necessarily mean there is any great conspiracy involved, but considering the title of your new book (which I intend on reading sometime in the near future) I do think it is relevant! In addition, I'd just like to say that I'm a native Californian - born and bred - although I'm not currently living in the Golden State, I had the pleasure of visiting D.L. on a few different occasions when I was a young boy (circa late 70s' / late 80s') and your show (Kevin Smith Show) awakened some memories buried deep in my subconscious. I now vividly remember an incident where upon my father's encouragement, I rode the carrosel and when I got off, I definately felt a very vivid, almost "otherworldly" feeling (for a lack of a better term). It was I suppose something akin to an altered state of consciousness. Anyway, congrats on the new book - great talk on the radio!
