Dr. John Lerma is the MD who made the 1997 attempt to remove the implant from Whitley Strieber’s ear, and still counts it as the strangest thing that he has ever been involved in.

He is also a leading palliative care physician, and has been involved in thousands of death and dying cases over the years.
